Within the framework of the CirculEC project of the European Union Erasmus+ programme, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, teachers of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance were on a working visit to Bielefeld, Federal Republic of Germany, from 15 to 22 March 2025. During the visit, a training seminar on waste-free production and the principles of a circular economy was organized at the University of Applied Sciences for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (FHM), which is located in the city. During the trainings, the need to increase knowledge about the circular economy and develop relevant training programs was emphasized.

In addition, Germany's experience in the field of circular economy was highlighted, as well as the activities carried out in this area within the European Union. Speakers at the seminars also spoke about the importance of transition to a closed-loop economy. Representatives of Turkmenistan made reports on the efforts of our Hero Arkadag and our esteemed President to bring the country's economy to the level of developed countries of the world, significantly improve the standard of living of the population, and reform the country's education system. In particular, at the World Government Summit held in February 2024, as well as at sessions of the United Nations General Assembly, among the proposals put forward by the Turkmen delegation, the world community was presented with an initiative to develop a Framework Program for the transition to a closed, i.e. waste-free (circular) economy for the period up to 2030, based on the priorities of the sustainable development agenda. The work aimed at ensuring sustainable economic development of our country, in fact, fully meets the requirements of a zero-waste economy. More environmentally advanced technologies are being introduced into all sectors of the economy. Particular attention is paid to the development of relevant innovative technologies related to the use of renewable energy sources and emission reduction. At the end of the seminar, the participants held a question and answer session, and international experts answered questions, giving specific examples.

In addition, on 19 March 2025, as part of the visit, the faculty made a working visit to the Innovation Campus Lemgo. The Innovation Campus Lemgo is a unique technology and education campus. This innovation hub promotes cooperation in the education-research-business chain, and the Innovation Campus Lemgo makes a significant contribution to the sustainable strengthening of the economic development of the region. As part of the visit, the faculty visited the Industry 4.0 laboratory located there, called "SmartFactoryOWL", and learned about the research carried out there. On 20 March 2025, the professors and teachers were introduced to the work of the zero-waste companies located in Bielefeld. In general, within the framework of the CirculEC project of the European Union Erasmus+ program, the working visit of teachers of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance to the city of Bielefeld, Federal Republic of Germany, was distinguished by its effectiveness and became an important event in improving educational programs and curricula in this area in the future.
