From March 24 to 27, 2025, the University of Santiago de Compostela (Kingdom of Spain) organized seminars for teachers of higher education institutions of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan within the framework of the project "Development of innovative curricula and modules for the circular economy and sustainable development" (CirculEC) of the European Union ERASMUS + program. The seminar was attended by senior lecturer of the Finance Department Shohrat Bashimov and senior lecturer of the Accounting Department Meylis Allamyradov. The purpose of the seminar is to improve educational programs for bachelor's, master's and additional education, taking into account the principles of circular economy and sustainable development.


On the first day of the seminar, an opening ceremony was held. Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation and Innovation of the University of Santiago de Compostela Professor Gumersindo Feijoo and Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and International Relations Adrian Dios addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.


As part of the seminar program, participants met with representatives of TEIMAS, Product Manager Estrella Moreira and Operations Manager Daniel Cid. TEIMAS is a leading company in Spain in the development of software for the circular economy, waste management and sustainable development. During their presentation, the company's representatives spoke about the company's production activities and its software products such as Zero and Teixo, which enable large companies and organizations to effectively manage waste, ensure regulatory compliance and promote sustainable practices.


The audience was also addressed by professors from the University of Santiago de Compostela Xavier Vence on the topic of "Fundamentals of the Circular Economy and Sustainability and Policies", Sugey Lopez on the topic of "Strategies and Policies for the Circular Economy", Angeles Pereira on the topic of "Circular and Sustainable Business Models", Adolfo Carballo and Nailya Saifulina on the topic of "Circular and Sustainable Entrepreneurship" and Alberto Tournes on the topic of "Entrepreneurship in the Circular Economy".


On the last day of the seminar, the audience met with the general manager of ARROUPA, Isabella Fraga. During her speech, Isabella Fraga introduced the audience to ARROUPA and the company's activities in employment in the field of textile reuse.


The seminars organized at the University of Santiago de Compostela within the framework of the project "Development of innovative curricula and modules for the circular economy and sustainable development" (CirculEC) of the ERASMUS+ program for teachers of higher education institutions of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan were successfully completed, all participants who took part in the seminar were awarded certificates.


The participation of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance in the CirculEC project contributes to the modernization of curricula, the formation of sustainable professional skills among students and the strengthening of academic interaction with leading universities in Europe.
