The department conducts classes in the following disciplines: «Fundamentals of the legislation of Turkmenistan», «Theory of money, credit and banks», «Money, credit and banks», «International monetary and financial relations», «International payment systems», «Banking», «Credit market», «Banking management», «Financing and lending of capital investments», «Digital money circulation», «Banking law», «Banking risks and their insurance», etc. Highly qualified and experienced teachers work at the department.
Currently, the department is conducting research work on the topic «Scientific and methodological foundations for the analysis and forecasting of the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan». According to the results of a scientific topic, teachers of the department and students speak at scientific and practical conferences, publish articles and abstracts.
The teachers of the department attach great importance to the management of the scientific work of students. For this purpose, scientific circles «Money circulation and credit», «Banking and finance», «Ecology» operate at the department.
Teachers of the department take an active part in writing textbooks and manuals. necessary for the educational process. Under their authorship, educational books «Banking Management», «Banking Risks and Their Insurance», as well as study guides «Business Relations» and «Collection of Problems in Banking» were published.
