70THE FIRST TIANSHAN FORUM ON CENTRAL ASIA ECONOMIC COOPERATION
During the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, large-scale efforts are being carried out in the country to develop the education system, expand international cooperation, improve the quality of specialist training, and enhance the educational, methodological, and research activities of higher education institutions.
Within the framework of these objectives, Eziznazar Beknazarov, Acting Head of the Academic Department of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance, paid a working visit to Urumqi, People’s Republic of China, from December 1 to 5, 2025. The visit was organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Turkmen State Institute of Finance and the Institute of Regional Economic Cooperation in Central Asia (CAREC) and included participation in the First Tianshan Forum on Central Asia Economic Cooperation, the 9th Conference on the Development of CAREC Institute Research Centers, and the leadership training workshop entitled “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Socio-Economic Transformation.”
On the first day of the visit, the 9th Conference on the Development of CAREC Institute Research Centers was held under the theme “Accelerating the Transformative Impact of Green Initiatives through Innovative Financing Mechanisms in the CAREC Region.” The discussions focused on attracting investments for sustainable development and the green economy, as well as the importance of public–private partnerships.
On the second and third days, participants attended the First Tianshan Forum on Central Asia Economic Cooperation entitled “Unlocking Connectivity and Investment in Central Asia.” The forum aimed to strengthen economic cooperation in Central Asia, enhance regional connectivity, attract investments, and address sustainable economic development through projects in transport, logistics, energy, trade, and infrastructure.
In addition, a leadership training workshop entitled “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Socio-Economic Transformation” was held. During the workshop, participants discussed advancing social and economic transformation in the CAREC region through the use of artificial intelligence, as well as the application of AI in management, the economy, education, and service sectors.
