On October 9, 2024, the British agency Times Higher Education published the results of the World University Ranking 2025. THE World University Ranking is one of the most prestigious rankings of higher education institutions in the world. This year, the number of universities included in the ranking has increased again. In total, the World University Ranking 2025 included 2,092 universities from 115 countries (and territories), which is 185 more participants compared to the same period last year.
As a result of the activities carried out within the framework of the implementation of important instructions given by Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar to enter the ranking of the world's leading universities, the Turkmen State Institute of Finance received the status of "reporter" (status) in the Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2025.
Times Higher Education (THE) ranks the best universities in the world using the new WUR 3.0 methodology. By the way, THE World University Ranking is one of the most influential rankings in the world. It ranks universities around the world based on 18 indicators grouped into 5 groups reflecting the quality of higher education. They are:
1. Teaching;
2. Research environment;
3. Research quality;
4. International outlook;
5. Industry engagement.
To compile the rating, data is collected from 3 sources. In particular, statistical data of higher education institutions, the bibliometric database Scopus and surveys of academic experts. As is known, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings is the fourth international ranking in which the Turkmen State Financial Institute was included. In order for our institute to take a worthy place in international rankings in the coming years, work is underway to increase the number of scientific articles and abstracts submitted for publication in international indexed journals such as Scopus and WoS.
