In accordance with the «List of priority areas of science and technology in Turkmenistan and research carried out on them" approved by Presidential Decree No. 14488 of November 13, 20215, the departments of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance and the Research Center conduct research work on 11 scientific topics. 10 of the scientific topics passed state registration at the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and 1 topic is approved by the Scientific Council of the Institute at the level of the Chair. The scientific research carried out on scientific topics has the practical nature.

Currently, the Turkmen State Institute of Finance is conducting research on the following scientific topics:

1	Problems of increasing the efficiency of state support for entrepreneurship in Turkmenistan
2	Opportunities to Strengthen the Financial Stability of Commercial Banks in Turkmenistan
3	The Role of Tax Incentives in the Development of Turkmenistan's Economy
4	Opportunities for Improving Voluntary Insurance in Turkmenistan
5	Improving the organization of management accounting in small and medium-sized enterprises
6	Mathematical models for assessing the effectiveness of investment projects
7	Automation of optimal management of production stocks of the enterprise (Based on the example of industrial enterprises of the national economy)
8	Solving problems of multi-criteria optimization of production in computer programs (using the example of the textile industry of the national economy)
9	Cultural heritage of Eastern thinkers (VIII-XIX centuries)
10	Features of teaching English using the tandem method
11	Research methods in economics: theoretical approach

Professors and science-loving students of the Turkmen State Financial Institute take an active part in the implementation of research work. They regularly make scientific presentations at scientific and practical conferences on the intermediate results of their research, as well as publish scientific articles in periodicals. Proposals made to introduce the results of scientific research into production are submitted to the relevant ministries and departments.

In accordance with the Regulation on the Training of Scientific Workers in Turkmenistan, approved by Presidential Decision No. 9378 of 14 January 2008, the Turkmen State Institute of Finance pays special attention to the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel. Currently, most teachers of the institute are working on dissertations on selected scientific topics in order to obtain a degree in priority areas of science and technology in Turkmenistan.
