Turkmen-Turkish relations, rooted in the depths of centuries and based on a common history, language, and spiritual values, are today being enriched with new content and reaching a qualitatively new level. This is fully confirmed by the state visit of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Türkiye, which took place on October 29–30, 2026. The Respected President attended the 13th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Ankara.

In honor of this historic visit, Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, together with the "Altyn Asyr" TV channel of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography, prepared and presented to viewers a new episode of the television program "Turkmenistan — the Land of Friendship". The faculty members who participated in the program exchanged views on the dynamically developing Turkmen-Turkish relations and the rapid progress of our Motherland within the framework of authoritative international organizations.

Today, the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) occupies an important place in the system of international relations, serving as an effective mechanism for combining the efforts of participating countries to ensure sustainable development and strengthen regional cooperation. This structure forms the basis for coordinating actions in energy, transport, logistics, environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, as well as in the cultural and humanitarian fields.

The Respected President attended the solemn opening ceremony of the Cultural Park of Turkic States in Ankara. A Turkmen white yurt was erected there, with a sculpture of an Akhal-Teke horse beside it. Subsequently, the heads of state participating in the 13th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States visited the Malazgirt complex. Standing at the origins of Eurasia's ancient spiritual and material culture, the Turkmen people have for centuries made a great creative contribution to the shared civilizational heritage of the Turkic world.

The Respected President was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in International Relations by Hacettepe University in Ankara, and the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK) presented him with the "Strategic Symbol of Friendship" award. This further emphasized the significance of the historic visit. Inspired by such remarkable achievements, the speakers wished Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar robust health, longevity, and continued success in their large-scale activities for the benefit of the people and the country.
