In the first 10 months of 2026, Turkmen athletes performed successfully in international competitions, winning a total of 590 medals. These include 179 gold, 188 silver, and 223 bronze awards.

This was highlighted during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held via digital system under the chairmanship of our Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the work carried out in the country from January to October 2026.

During the reporting period, it was stated that Turkmenistan continues its comprehensive efforts to develop physical culture and sports, enhance athletes' mastery, and elevate the country's sporting prestige on the international arena.

The medals won by Turkmen athletes demonstrate the effectiveness of the national sports system and the successful performance of athletes at the international level. These achievements serve as a clear illustration of the successful implementation of state programs aimed at developing sports and broadly promoting a healthy lifestyle in the country.
